8. Operating
8.1 Switching on and off
 Switch on the main switch on main unit, EMERGENCY - STOP – switches on the control panel
out , Pilot "OPERATION” burns.
 By pressing the button “ SAW BAND - ON “ the saw switches on.
At danger press EMERGENCY - STOP, the saw switches off and stops!
8.2 Cutting feed adjustment
The saw is equipped with a electric cutting feed adjustment. The potentiometer is from 0% -
100% adjustable.
8.3 Mitre cuts
The saw is capable of performing mitre joint cuts of 0° to 45° on either side with pipes up to a
diameter of 630 mm.
This has the advantage that, by segments for pipe elbow the pipe must not be rotated.
 Now release the locking lever in order to unlock the saw-frame, and turn it to the desired
angle value.
 After setting the angle, lock the saw arm again with the locking lever.
The setting of the angle may only be performed while EMERGENCY STOP is
engaged!
In order to achieve angular cuts as well as a good cutting performance by the sawing machine,
correct band tension is of significant importance.
The band is correctly tensioned if it can be depressed with the thumb between the wheels for
approx. 3 mm.
If the saw band has too little tension, it will jump out of the saw band deflection.
DANGER OF INJURY !
The saw band must run centrically on the wheels. The wheels are spherically rotated, so that the
teeth run freely.
The saw arm is locked with
locking lever . After setting
the angle, lock the saw arm
again with the locking lever.
