Important preliminary remarks

Only knowledge and the exact observance of this operating ma-
nual guarantee correct and reliable operation, achieve the best
possible usage and ensure any claims made within the framework
of the Vetter guarantee.
These operating instructions are to be kept safely during the com-
plete period of use. Only staff are to use QuickStrut Kits who have
been instructed in their use by the manufacturer‘s operating ma-
nual and operating instructions. Disposal is to be carried out ac-
cording to regional disposal regulations.
The operating instructions given here are to be regarded as part
of the product and are to be kept for the complete life duration of
the product. In case the product should be passed on to a succes-
sive user then the operating instructions must also be included.

Safety instructions

Rescue struts should be operated by qualified personnel only. Per-

sonnel not directly involved in the operation should keep at a safe

distance from the compromised area. Proper protective clothing

should be worn at all times (i.e. bunker gear, gloves, helmets, face

shields, etc.). Keep hands and feet clear of the rescue strut when

stabilizing or supporting against a surface.
Always be aware of your surroundings. Check for live electrical

wires, obstacles and etc. Be sure to follow all maintenance proce-

dures. Keep instruction manual available for reference at all times.

Do NOT make any modifications to the equipment. This will result

in a default of the warranty. It could also result in serious injury or

damage to the equipment.
Use only factory authorized service parts. Make sure all loose

parts are secure before transporting the equipment. Improvising

or adapting Airshore equipment for other purposes could cause

serious injury or damage to the equipment.

General maintenance

After each use, wipe all components down to remove and dirt

and debris.
During the wipe down, check for wear and damage on all

parts.
Check all fasteners and confirm they are tight and secure.

Spray mechanical components (springs and hinges) with a

9

lubricant to keep them moving freely. On the adjustment
shaft a petroleum type jelly should be used.
