•Calibration

general

All instruments are fully calibrated before leaving the factory and

should not need adjustment until the next scheduled calibration.

There are two independent sets of controls marked CH1 (for channel

one) and CH (for channel two).

equipmentrequirements
• A suitable Current (mA) / Voltage (V) source
• An accurate digital multimeter (accurate to 0.05 mV and ±0.1 μA)
• Flat bladed screwdriver (blade width less than .54 mm / 0.1 inch)

ZeROandSpANadjustment

The ZERo and SpAN controls are on the front panel of the transmitter.

Turn the control clockwise to increase the zero or span.

Note: ‘zero’ means the lowest point in the signal range, so for a

4-0 mA signal, ‘zero’ is 4 mA. ‘Full scale’ refers to the highest point in
the signal range.

1. Connect up the instrument, with the signal source as input and the

multimeter measuring the output.

. Set the input source to ‘zero’.
. Turn the ZERo adjustment until the output is at ‘zero’.
4. Set the input source to ‘full scale’.
5. Adjust the SpAN control until the output is at ‘full scale’.
6. Recheck the ZERo adjustment.
7. Recheck the SpAN adjustment.
