The error relay can be used to monitor the condition of the switch. If the switch is turned off the relay
contacts are open. When power is being applied the contacts of the relay remain open until BOTH
power inputs have reached a valid level. Only then the contacts are closed. If in the ongoing opration
one of the voltage levels drops below the lower end the relay contacts are opened again.

Mounting
1. To mount the IE-SW8-M-IP67, select a firm and
level surface.
2. Pre-drill the mounting holes.
3. Hold the distributor above the mounting holes and fix it
in positions with screws.

It is not allowed to mount or demount the IE-SW8-M-IP67 during operation.
- Mounting position versatility is a feature of IE-SW8-M-IP67. There are no restric-
tions with regard to their position when being mounted: vertical, horizontal, on their
side, overhead …However, to ensure that the LEDs can be seen, we recommend
that – where possible – the modules are not mounted on their side or overhead.
The IE-SW8-M-IP67 can be mounted side-by-side. Please observe that a given di-
stance to the adjacent module may be required when using custom
assembly and angled connectors. The mounting dimensions of the IE-SW8-M-IP67
distributors are 210 x 54 mm.
- If there are not all ports in usage then protect the open interfaces with the inclu-
ded caps. The conformtity of IP67 can not be quaranted if the ports are unprotec-
ted.

Demounting
1. Isolate the system from the power supply.
2. Disconnect the connections to the power
supply on the distributor.
3. Disconnect the connections.
4. Disconnect the I/O connections.
5. Dismount the distributor by undoing the
fixing screws.
