Operating Systems; Installing and
Launching the Software
Your PC must satisfy the following system requirements to run LIPAN:
• Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP SP2/ Windows Vista*
• RAM: At least 512 MB
• Monitor: 800 x 600 pixels
• Network: 100 Mbps Ethernet card
The Installer automatically guides you through the installation routine.
The root directory for installation is C:\Programs\HK Audio\LIPAN.
Once you have installed the application, you will fi nd it in the Windows
Start menu under Start > All Programs > HK Audio > LIPAN.
The installation routine automatically generates a LIPAN icon on the
desktop.
When the application launches, a window appears in which you can
defi ne the scanning range for IP addresses. This can signifi cantly speed
up the process of locating devices.
* LIPAN is optimized for Windows XP and compatible with Windows
Vista.

Panels
2.1 The Mouse Pointer
Click any panel you wish edit, and activate it with a left or right mouse-
click.
2.2 Drag & Drop
You can drag networked controllers out of LIPAN’s CONTROLLER box at
the top left and drop them into a group. The GROUPS box at the bottom
left always shows all 16 groups. The controller name or IP address tells
you which controllers are assigned to which group. If a controller is
assigned to a group, a + sign appears in front of the group. Double-click
a group to open it and view its assigned controllers.
