Fehlersuche
Dual-port Memory
• Prüfen Sie, ob der vom CIF benutzte Speicherbereich
im BIOS auf Shadow RAM disable eingestellt ist.
• Prüfen Sie, ob die Adresseinstellung der ISA-,
PC/104- oder PS1-Karte mit der Einstellung im CIF
Device-Treiber Setup übereinstimmt.
• Prüfen Sie, ob die eingestellte Dual-port memory
Größe im CIF Device-Treiber Setup der tatsächli-
chen Größe des CIF entspricht.
• Prüfen Sie, ob kein Adresskonflikt mit anderen PC
Komponenten z.B. SCSI Controller vorliegt.
• Weitere Hinweise finden Sie auf der CD in
\FAQ\DEUTSCH\ISA\ bzw. PCI bzw. PCMCIA.
Kabel
• Prüfen Sie, ob die Pinbelegung des verwendeten
Kabels richtig ist.
• Prüfen Sie, ob die Busterminierungswiderstände am
Anfang und am Ende der Leitung eingeschaltet und
bei allen anderen Steckern des Bussegmentes aus-
geschaltet sind.
Diagnose mit dem Systemkonfigurator
• Prüfen Sie mit Online - Live List, welche
Stationen/Geräte am Bus vorhanden sind und ob
diese den Konfigurationsvorgaben entsprechen.
• Prüfen Sie mit Online - Debugmode starten, zu wel-
chen Geräten ein Nutzdatenaustausch stattfindet
(grün dargestelltes Symbol).
• Zeigen Sie mit Online - Gerätediagnose die Dia-
gnoseinformation des Slaves an.
• Wenn der Slave einen Konfigurationsfehler meldet,
dann überprüfen Sie mit Online - Gerätediagnose
und Konfiguration vergleichen, ob die Konfiguration
des Slaves mit der im Systemkonfigurator überein-
stimmt.
• Wenn der Slave einen Parameterfehler meldet, dann
überprüfen Sie die Parameterdaten in der Slavekonfi-
guration bei Parameterdaten.
Trouble shooting
Dual-port Memory
• Check if the memory region used by the CIF is set to
Shadow RAM disable in the BIOS.
• Check if the address setting on an ISA, PC/104 or
PS1 card matches with the setting in the CIF Device
Driver Setup.
• Make sure that the dual-port memory size in the CIF
Device Driver Setup is the same as the real size of
the CIF.
• Make sure that there is no address conflict with
another PC component e.g. SCSI controller.
• More information is on the CD in \FAQ\ENGLISH\ISA\
or PCI or PCMCIA.
Cable
• Make sure that the pin occupation of the used cable is
correct.
• Make sure that the bus termination resistors are
switched on at the beginning and the end of the cable
and are switched off at all other connectors in the bus
segment.
Diagnostic using the System Configurator
• Check which stations are present on the bus using
Online - Live List and that these match to the
configuration.
• Check to which devices a process data exchange is
executed (green colored icons) by using Online -
Start Debug Mode.
• Display the diagnostic information of a Slave using
Online - Device Diagnostic.
• If the slave reports a configuration error, then check
that the configuration of the slave is the same as in
the system configurator using Online - Device Dia-
gnostic and Compare Configuration.
• If the slave reports a parameter error, then check the
parameter data in the Slave configuration in Parame-
ter data.
