Q Operation
Note: Before using the product for the first time,
check it carefully for holes, porous places and or
seams that are not airtight.
Recommendation: Blow up the product and
leave it alone for one day. Air new products in the
open air for a few days.
Q Letting in air
CAUTION! Inflatable plastic products are sensitive
to the cold. That is why you should never use the
product when the ambient temperature falls below
15 °C and rises above 45 °C. Otherwise damage
to the product may result.
Note: Inflating the mattress
1 should be done by
adults only. We do, however, recommend the use
of a mechanical pump. Make sure that you do not
blow / pump too much air into the product. Stop the
process when resistance increases during pumping
and the seams start to stretch. Otherwise the material
may tear. Only use manual pumps and / or pumps
specifically designed for use with inflatable plastic
products.
Note: The product has an air pressure 2 indicator
on its outside edge. The indicator is marked with
the maximum allowable air pressure. Pump air into
the product until the maximum marking is reached.
Do not over-inflate.
j Roll the product out first and then check for
holes, tears and other damage (see Fig. A).
j Open the air valve 4 (see Fig. B I).
j Press the air valve 4 together and blow or
pump the product up until it is tautly stretched.
Note: Blow or pump the pillow chamber first,
then the body chamber.
j Place the measuring strip 3 on the air
pressure indicator 2 . If both have exactly
the same length the rated pressure is reached
(see Fig. D). Stop pumping then.
CAUTION! On no account should you use
compressed air. Otherwise the product could
burst or the seams could tear.
IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that air tempera-
ture and weather conditions can affect the air
pressure inside inflatable products. In cold
weather the product behaves as if it has less
air pressure in it because the air inside contracts.
Under these conditions you may have to add
air. In hot weather the air inside expands. Under
these conditions you may have to remove air in
order to avoid overfilling.
j Close the air valve 4 (see Fig. B II).
j Push the air valve 4 in (see Fig. B III).
Q Letting air out
j Pull the air valve 4 out and open it
(see Fig. B II + I).
j Press the sides of the air valve 4 together
using your thumb and index finger, then put
the straw
5 in for deflation and remove your
hand (see Fig. A).
j Remove the straw 5 when all the air has
escaped.
Note: Do not insert the straw 5 too far into
the valve 4 . Otherwise the straw 5 could
drop into the inflation chamber.
j Slowly roll the product up (see Fig. A).
