Second SIMM
After confirming the orientation, insert the second SIMM into
the FRONT SLOT (the slot closest to the PSR-8000 keyboard),
and raise it to the vertical position in the same way as the first
SIMM.

Replace the SIMM cover and attach with the six screws. Install
the backup batteries, set the PSR-8000 right-side up, and con-
nect the power cord to the rear-panel AC INLET jack and an AC
outlet.

Check that the installed SIMMs are functioning properly. Turn
on the power, go to the SAMPLING display, and check that the
REMAIN TIME value matches the amount of installed memory,
as follows:

16MB x 2 392.3s
No SIMMS 11.8s
(these values apply when there is no data in the wave memory)

-2 Install the first SIMM in the REAR SLOT (the slot closest
to the PSR-8000 rear panel), inserting it at an angle as shown
in the illustration.
Make sure that the parts at locations A, B, and C are properly
aligned.

-3 Holding both edges of the SIMM module, raise it to the
vertical position until it is firmly clamped by the left and
right stoppers.
Zweites SIMM-Modul
Prüfen Sie, ob die Ausrichtung stimmt, und stecken Sie das
zweite SIMM-Modul dann in den VORDEREN STECKPLATZ
(der näher an der Tastatur des PSR-8000 liegende Steckplatz),
um es dann wie das erste SIMM-Modul senkrecht zu stellen.

Setzen Sie die SIMM-Abdeckung wieder an, und schrauben Sie
sie mit den sechs Schrauben fest.
Legen Sie die Speicherschutzbatterien wieder ein, stellen Sie
das PSR-8000 mit der Oberseite nach oben auf, und schließen
Sie dann das Netzkabel an die rückseitige AC INLET-Buchse
und eine Steckdose an.

Prüfen Sie, ob die installierten SIMM-Module einwandfrei
arbeiten. Schalten Sie das Instrument ein, rufen Sie die
SAMPLING-Anzeige auf, und vergewissern Sie sich dann, daß
die REMAIN TIME-Angabe der Größe des installierten Spei-
chers entspricht:
4 MB x 2 106,9 s
8 MB x 2 202,1 s
16 MB x 2 392,3 s
keine SIMM-Module 11,8 s
(Werte bei noch leerem Wave-Speicher)

-2 Stecken Sie das erste SIMM-Modul, wie in der Abbildung
angedeutet, leicht abgewinkelt in den HINTEREN STECK-
PLATZ (der näher an der Rückwand des PSR-8000 liegende
Steckplatz).
Achten Sie darauf, daß die Teile an den Punkten A, B und C
korrekt ausgerichtet sind.
• Make sure that the entire length of the
SIMM is evenly inserted.
• Das SIMM-Modul muß über seine gesamte
Länge gleichförmig im Steckplatz sitzen!
• Vérifiez que la longueur totale du SIMM est
correctement insérée.

-3 Halten Sie das SIMM-Modul mit den Fingerspitzen an
beiden Seitenkanten, und stellen sie es senkrecht, bis es fest
in den Klammern an der linken und rechten Seite sitzt.
