Attach the hard disk unit to the hard disk
cover using the four silver screws re-
moved from the hard disk cover in step
X.
Depending on the type of hard disk drive
you plan to install, select holes
q or
holes
w to attach the hard disk drive.
* Holes
q are used in this illustration.
• Be careful not to drop any screws inside
the instrument during installation (this can
be prevented by keeping the hard disk
unit and cover away from the instrument
while attaching). If this does happen, be
sure to remove the screw(s) from inside
the unit before turning the power on.
Loose screws inside the instrument can
cause improper operation or serious
damage. If you are unable to retrieve a
dropped screw, consult your Yamaha
dealer for advice.

Replace the hard disk cover, and attach
with the four black screws removed in
step C. Install the backup batteries, set
the PSR-8000 right-side up, and con-
nect the power cord to the rear-panel AC
INLET jack and an AC outlet.

Check that the installed hard disk is
functioning properly. Turn on the power,
go to the DISK display, and execute the
FORMAT HARD DISK function. If the
format is completed with no trouble, the
hard disk is OK.

Fixez le disque dur sur le cache de dis-
que dur avec les quatre vis argentées que
vous avez retirées du cachee disque dur
à l’étape X.
Suivant le type de disque dur que vous
envisagez d’installer, choisissez les trous
q ou les trous w pour fixer le disque
dur.

• Attention à ne pas faire tomber les vis
dans l’instrument pendant l’installation
(vous pouvez l’éviter en gardant le disque
dur et son cache éloignés de l’instrument
pendant le montage). Dans ce cas,
n’oubliez pas de retirer la (les) vis qui
auraient pénétré à l’intérieur de l’unité,
avant de mettre sous tension. Des vis
desserrées dans l’instrument peuvent
provoquer un mauvais fonctionnement ou
de sérieux dommages. Si vous ne pouvez
pas retirer une vis qui est tombée, prenez
contact avec votre revendeur agréé
Yamaha pour demander conseil.

Remettez en place le cache de disque
dur et fixez-le avec les quatre vis noires
retirées à l’étape C.Install the backup
batteries, set the PSR-8000 right-side
up, and connect the power cord to the
rear-panel AC INLET jack and an AC
outlet.

Vérifiez que le disque dur en place dans
l’appareil fonctionne normalement. Pour
ce faire, mettez l’appareil sous tension,
appelez la page-écran DISPLAY et exé-
cutez la fonction FORMAT HARD DISK.
Si le formatage du disque dur est réalisé
sans encombre, le disque dur peut être
jugé en bon état.

Schrauben Sie die Festplattenabdeckung
mit den vier silbernen Schrauben, die in
Schritt X entfernt wurden, an der Fest-
plattenabdeckung fest.
Bestimmen Sie die Schraubenbohrungen
(
q oder w), die zu der Ausführung des
Festplattenlaufwerks passen.
* In der Abbildung werden die
Schraubenbohrungen
q verwendet.
• Achten Sie bei der Installation darauf, daß
keine Schrauben o. dgl. in das Instrument
fallen (es ist eine gute Idee, die Festplatte
neben dem Instrument an die Abdeckung
zu schrauben). Sollte dennoch eine
Schraube hineinfallen, müssen Sie diese
unbedingt aus dem Instrument entfernen,
bevor Sie es einschalten. Eine lose
Schraube kann Funktionsstörungen und
Schäden am Instrument zur Folge haben.
Wenn die Schraube nicht aus dem Instru-
ment entfernt werden kann, wenden Sie
sich bitte an Ihren Yamaha-Fachhändler.

Stezen Sie die Festplattenabdeckung
wieder an, und schrauben Sie sie mit den
vier schwarzen Schrauben, die in Schritt
C entfernt wurden, wieder fest.
Legen Sie die Speicherschutzbatterien
wieder ein, stellen Sie das PSR-8000
mit der Oberseite nach oben auf, und
schließen Sie dann das Netzkabel an die
rückseitige AC INLET-Buchse und eine
Steckdose an.

Prüfen Sie, ob die installierte Festplatte
einwandfrei arbeitet. Schalten Sie das
Instrument ein, rufen Sie die DISK-An-
zeige auf, und führen Sie dann die FOR-
MAT HARD DISK-Funktion aus. Wenn
die Formatierung fehlerfrei erfolgt, ist
die Festplatte in Ordnung.
