Correct use
To ensure a problem-free and safe function, and
a long service life of the appliance, the user must
observe these instructions, the application
conditions, and the performance data according
to the data sheet must be complied with. The
planned use and operation of the appliance must
comply with the general rules of electrical
engineering. Accidental operation or inadmissible
impairment are to be avoided by employing
appropriate measures.

Construction
The electrical rotary actuator consists of either a
maintenance-free epoxy-resin extruded alternating
current capacitor motor or a direct current motor,
in both cases flanged to a gear with permanent
lubrication. The nominal torque is 25 Nm for Type
3001. For Type 3002 is the nominal torque 80 Nm
by alternating current version (AC) and 100 Nm by
direct current version (DC).

Singularities of the ex-protected rotary
actuators Type 3500 and3501
The ex-protected rotary actuators have a nominal
torque of 20 Nm (Type 3500) or 80 Nm (Type
3501). The actuator casing is additionally protected
with a polycarbonate casing. A subsequent
conversion is not possible. The changing of the
rotary angle is achieved as for Types 3001 and
3002.

Conversion sets
Appliances can be converted to special actuator
versions using conversion sets. The conversion
instructions are included with the respective
conversion sets.
The standard setting of the limit positions remains
unaltered by the conversion.

Versions
The various versions of the actuators differ as far
as the furnishing with potentiometers and
microswitches for rotary angle control and position
indicating is concerned. Standard versions of
rotary actuators are Versions A and L..
