NC cell function test
The functionability of the NC cells should be
checked half-yearly if not in use. In addition 3
resettings should be made in close succession.
The NC cells must then be recharged. Should it
not be possible to execute 3 resettings after
recharging the rechargeable battery boards should
be exchanged .

Changing the rechargeable battery boards
- Disconnect rotary actuator from the mains
- Unscrew cover
- Unscrew 3 securing screws of the electronic

board and remove board

- Unscrew 3 stay bolts of the rechargeable battery

boards

- Remove plug J2 and exchange rechargeable

battery board

- Replace plug J2 , screw in stay bolts
- replace electronic board, paying attention that

the plug-and-socket connection between both
circuit boards sits correctly and secure with 3
screws

- Replace cover and screw down
- Connect rotary actuator to mains.

Standard signal input option
An additional module allows the direct conversion
of the input signal (0-10 V or 0/4-20 mA) in a
proportional position angle of the rotary actuator.
The motor is controlled electronically. Control
input and power supply are separated galvanically.

Putting into operation
Connect working current and control
signalaccording to circuit diagram.

Input signal
Check setting of the respective signal type on S5/
S6 on the circuit board 3001-2472.1 (230V/50Hz)
or 3001-3472.2 (24V/AS).
Position1 = 0 to10 V; position2 = 0/4 to 20 mA

Direction of rotation
The correct direction of rotation of the drive should
be checked by applying a signal. If the actuator
rotates in the false direction on increasing the signal
please change the working direction on S1 -S4.
Position1 = 10 V or 20 mA = "CLOSED" (Position C),
Position 2 = 10 V or 20 mA = "OPEN" (Position A).

Adjustment of the electronics
The electronics may have to be readjusted.
- Give minimal control signal (0 V, 0 mA or4 mA)

and set position with trimmer "ZERO POINT"

- Give minimal control signal (10 V or 20 mA) and

set position with "ADJUST"trimmer .

Note: With an input range of 4 to 20 mA the min.
position is also dependent on "ADJUST" trimmer.
You must check the zero point setting again. With
min./max. input signal a limit switch is reached; if
necessary, set this anew (see "Setting the limit
positions").
