5. Operating

5.1

Switching on and off

Turn on the main switch on the switch board and pull out the EMERGENCY STOP switch on

the manual control panel.

In case of any danger arising, press the button EMERGENCY STOP. The saw will

immediately stop in its current position and remain inoperative!

5.2

Cutting of Mitre Joints

The saw is capable of performing mitre joint cuts of 0° to 45° on either side with pipes up to a

diameter of 630 mm.

Before swivelling the saw-frame to the other side, the right clamp arm must be repositioned in

such a way that it does not collide with the saw-blade.

Now release the locking lever in order to unlock the saw-frame, and turn it to the desired

angle value.

After setting the angle, lock the saw arm again with the locking lever.

The setting of the angle may only be performed while EMERGENCY STOP is

engaged!

5.3

Tensioning the Saw-Blade Correct Blade Travel

In order to achieve angular cuts and a satisfactory cutting performance of the saw, a correct blade

tension is of utmost importance.

The blade is correctly tensioned if between the wheels it can be bend with the thumb

approx. 3 mm.
