3. Set-up and operation
Place the Smart Matrix on to a clean, dry and stable surface.
Matrix is placed. The actual surface should be waterproof. Please make sure that the
machine is placed safe and secure.
TIP:
We recommend always having a towel nearby in the case of fluid being spilled or leaking.
Important : Always use the record mat between the platter and the record. Never place and
use the vinyl record directly on the metal platter.
Take the vacuum arm (2) and insert it into the appropriate
hole on the right front side. Pay attention to the inserted shaft
of the vacuum arm, that it is orientated according to the two
openings of the black washer attached to the machine. Push
the arm tube down, till you are able to swing it to the left.
Now the Vacuum arm tube is inserted completely. To take it
out, please proceed the opposite way.
Please check the micro fabric stripes each time when in use,
so that you never have a worn out stripe(s) or dirty stripe(s),
to prevent any damages to the record. Dust and dirt can be
removed for instance with a toothbrush. To change the micro
fabric stripes, take them off the arm tube. Clean the metal
with an alcoholic fluid. Take the spare stripes and remove the
protection foil of the glue pad(s) and place them next to the
suction opening of the arm tube. Please take care that you do
not close the suction hole of the arm tube with the micro
fabric stripes.
Note : Micro fabric stripes which are completely dirty or gummed up, can damage your
records. Please check them always before use !!!
