Figure 6: The Stereo Input EQ window

LIPAN provides a six-band IIR stereo input EQ with four fully parametric
and two multifunctional bands for every controller in the network (bands
1 and 6 may be confi gured as peak, shelf, or cut fi lters). These EQs serve
to equalize the entire system.
The controller EQ can only be edited in the LIPAN application, but its
setup is saved in the controller like all other parameter settings.
The icon that opens the Stereo Input EQ sits in the Main window just
below the menu bar and in the Controller window. Click it to open the
Stereo Input EQ window. Every band is color-coded for the sake of clarity.
EQ settings may be edited manually by typing values into the given
boxes, and graphically by clicking and holding the mouse button to drag
fi lters in the fi lter curve view.

You can edit the following parameters graphically:
• Left mouse button: Gain and frequency (+/– 15 dB; 20 to 20,000 Hz)
• Right mouse button: Bandwidth (the Q factor in a range of 0.5 to 10.0).

Note: Abrupt mouse movements and big jumps may cause distortion
that can harm your speakers, so drag the mouse smoothly and slowly.

You can also enter values to the boxes manually.
To do this, click the box, type in the parameter value, and press the Enter
key to confi rm and enable the setting.
