3.2.3 PS/2 cable installation (without glidepad)
Installation must be carried out when the computer is switched off. If a keyboard is already connected to the computer,
please remove it.
Now insert the purple 6-pin mini DIN plug (
Figure 3
) of the keyboard cable into the keyboard socket provided on the
computer. Plug the 8-pin mini-DIN connector into the keyboard interface socket of the MC keyboard (
Figure 4
).
Make sure that the pole positions are correct (coding pin).
Never force the keyboard plug into the PS/2 socket on the computer. This could result in bending of the connection pins – danger of
short circuits!
3.2.4 PS/2 cable installation (with glidepad)
Installation must be done when the computer is switched off. If a keyboard and/or mouse are already connected to
the computer, please remove it.
First, insert the purple 6-pin mini DIN plug (Figure 5) of the keyboard cable into the keyboard socked provided on the
computer (purple). Make sure that the pole positions are correct (coding pin).
Then insert the green 6-pin mini DIN plug (

5) of the pointing device into the PS/2 mouse socket provided on the computer (green). Plug the
8-pin mini-DIN connector into the keyboard interface socket of the MC keyboard.

3.2.5 Important note
To be able to work with the MC keyboard, you must first load a keyboard assignment table into the keyboard, or create a new table. Use our
programming tool WinProgrammer to create a keytable and download it to the keyboard.

3.2.6 Functional test
After you have switched on your computer, all four LEDs light up. The appropriate LEDs light up (Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock) depending on
their status. The MC keyboard is now ready for use.
