General Safety

3.1 General

This workshop manual is intended for personnel technically qualified to

install, operate and maintain the above mentioned Fritsch Numbers /

Items. It contains all the necessary information for correct maintenance

of the above mentioned Fritsch Numbers / Items. The contents of this

workshop manual are not contractual and cannot under any circum‐

stance extend or restrict contract warranty clauses.

3.2 Qualification of personnel

Only qualified personnel are authorized to install, operate or maintain

the above mentioned Fritsch Numbers / Items. Any work performed by

an unqualified person or failure to follow the safety instructions in this

document or on the equipment may risk the safety of personnel and/or

cause irreparable damage to equipment. The following personnel may

be regarded as being "Qualified":

Personnel who are trained and experienced in the adjustment and

repair of Fritsch equipment (for example, installation engineers, post

sales service en‐gineers, etc).

3.3 Conformity of use

The products described in this workshop manual conform to the Euro‐

pean Directives to which they are subjected (CE marking). However, they

can only be used correctly in the context of the applications for which

they are intended (described in the various documents). If all handling,

transport and storage specifications are observed, and all instructions for

installation, operation and maintenance are followed, the products will

perform properly, with no danger to personnel or equipment.

3.4 Maintenance

It is imperative to observe the following rules when maintenance for the

equipment has to be carried out.

Safety instructions must be followed. These instructions are in the

documentation or on the equipment being installed and set up.

Always remove power before performing any operation on equip‐

ment.

n

Before the equipment is powered up, check its nominal voltage to

ensure that it has been adjusted to conform with the local supply

voltage.

n

All measures must be taken to ensure that any power return does

not lead to a dangerous state which may risk personnel or the instal‐

lation.
