Please consider the following notes on these instructions!

Important: 5-7 Nm torque (4 mm hexagon socket) – it should no
longer be possible to turn the bar ends by hand!
2 Nm torque (2.5 mm hexagon socket) – it should no longer be possible
to turn the handlebar grips by hand!
Tighten all clamping screws again after the first ride!

Note:

The handlebar grips offer optimum pressure distribution through their
large support area and inhibit pain. Blood circulation is stimulated and
the hand can redden slightly. In the event of pain or numbness in the
hands or lower arms despite these properties change the angle of the
handlebar or change the position angle after a few short test rides in
small steps. Check the sitting position, handlebar height and frame size
– see your specialist retailer for advice.

Warning!

Before setting out on your ride check that the grips are fixed in their
position. In the event that they are still movable despite the given
torque (handlebar grips 2 Nm, bar end 5-7 Nm) then the handlebar is
not suited to the grips or has not been greased correctly beforehand
in the clamping area. If this is not sufficient you must use a handlebar
with roughened handlebar ends.

In difficult riding situations and when riding uphill the bar ends give
you a more secure grip and allows you to exercise greater force on the
handlebar. By tightening the clamping screws you prevent the bar ends
from moving. Please never overtighten the clamping screws.

The bar ends must be checked for damage and a secure fit after a fall.
They must be renewed if damaged.

After assembling the grips check whether the brake and gear levers can
be reached without changing hand position and whether all the bicycle
functions are usable without restriction.

Notes on cleaning and care!

- Clean the grips with lukewarm soapy water and then rinse
thoroughly.
- Do not bring into contact with aggressive cleaning agents or
other chemicals.
- Do not submerge in water.
- Check regularly that screws on the grips are secure.
