Before installation, ensure that the cable that
the light is to be attached to is not live. Remove
its fuse or switch off the automatic cutout in the
fuse box (0 position).

Use the voltage tester to check that there is no
voltage.

(3978 / 062L and 3958 / 062L).

Remove the screws

visible on the side of the
terminal housing

and take the installation
frame

on the back off (see diagram).

Mark the boreholes using the slotted holes pro-
vided for the screws in the installation frame

Now drill the screw holes (approx. 6 mm,
depth approx. 40 mm). Ensure that the feed
cable is not damaged.

Insert the dowels into the drilled holes. Fasten
the mounting bracket

in place with the
supplied screws.
j
Connect the light’s connection cable to the
mains connection cable using the insulating
screw joint

Ensure that the cables have been connected in
line with the correct colour coding.
j
Now connect the earthed conductor (green-
yellow) to the earth terminal labelled in the
terminal housing

Screw the light onto the installation frame

using the screws

Push the glass lampshade

over the lamp
socket and fasten it with a ring nut

using
the tool (see Fig.).

Then insert the illuminant

into the lamp
socket. To do so, use a dry, lint-free cloth.
Check that it fits properly.

Your lamp is now ready to use.

The two joints

allow you to adjust the length,
or the alignment of the light. The maximum
length is approx. 1.19 m.

Only change the direction of the spotlights

when the light is switched off. Allow the lamp
to cool down completely.

Hold the individual spotlights

at their base
and then turn in the direction desired. The spot-
lights

can be turned approx. 270°.

Changing the bulbs

When changing the bulbs, first disconnect the light
from the mains supply. Remove its fuse or switch off
the automatic cutout in the fuse box (0 position).

lamp to cool down completely.

Only change the bulb

when it has completely
cooled down. Use a clean, lint-free cloth when
changing light bulbs.

Only use 230 - 240 V ~ illuminants with a max.
of 40 Watt and a G 9 socket.

Now insert the new illuminant

into the
socket. Check that it fits properly.

Before cleaning the lamp make sure that it is isolat-
ed from the mains supply. Remove its fuse or switch
off the automatic cutout in the fuse box (0 position).

For reasons of electrical safety, the light must never
be cleaned with water or other fluids or be immersed
in water. When cleaning, only use a dry, lint-free
cloth.
