Remove the carton and packing material.
Lift and remove the carton, then remove the remaining
packing material from the main unit.
At this time, make sure the Clavinova makes no rattling noise
when you shake it. If it does, go back and retighten all bolts and
screws.

Voltage Selector
Before connecting the AC power cord, check the setting of the
voltage selector which is provided in some areas. To set the se-
lector for 110V, 127V, 220V or 240V main voltages, use a “mi-
nus” screwdriver to rotate the selector dial so that the correct
voltage for your region appears next to the pointer on the panel.
The voltage selector is set at 240V when the unit is initially
shipped.
CAUTION
• An improper voltage setting can cause serious damage to the
Clavinova or result in improper operation.

Attach the cord holders and plug in the AC
cord.
Remove the protective backing from the adhesive surface of
the cord holders, and attach at approximately the locations shown
in the illustration. Plug the main-unit end of the AC cord into the
corresponding socket on the bottom of the main unit, then secure
the cord with the cord holders.
Move the instrument to the location where it will be used and
connect the AC power cord to an AC wall outlet. A plug adaptor
may be also provided in some areas to match the pin configura-
tion of the AC wall outlets in your area.

Heben Sie zunächst den Karton weg, und entfernen Sie dann
die beiden Formstücke und das übrige Verpackungsmaterial.
Kontrollieren Sie nun, ob Klappergeräusche vom Clavinova zu
hören sind, wenn Sie das Instrument leicht schütteln. Wenn ja,
ziehen Sie alle Schrauben und Muttern noch einmal an.

Den Spannungswähler einstellen.
Bevor Sie nun das Netzkabel anschließen, müssen Sie den
Spannungswähler (falls vorhanden) auf die örtliche Netzspannung
einstellen. Zum Verstellen drehen Sie den Spannungswähler mit
einem Schlitzschraubendreher, bis der richtige Spannungswert
(110, 127, 220 oder 240) an der Pfeilmarkierung steht. Bei der
Auslieferung werden alle Instrumente mit Spannungswähler auf
“240” voreingestellt.
VORSICHT
• Eine falsche Spannungseinstellung kann das Clavinova schwer
beschädigen und Funktionsstörungen zur Folge haben.

Die Kabelhalter anbringen und das Netz-
kabel anschließen.
Ziehen Sie das Schutzpapier von der Klebefläche der Kabel-
halter ab, und bringen Sie die Halter ungefähr an den in der Ab-
bildung gezeigten Stellen an. Stecken Sie den kleineren Stecker
des Netzkabels in die entsprechende Buchse an der Unterseite des
Instruments, um das Kabel dann in die Kabelhalter zu legen.
Bringen Sie das Instrument an seinen Stellplatz, und schließen
Sie das Netzkabel an eine Steckdose an. In manchen Gebieten
wird ein Steckerdapter mitgeliefert, um den Anschluß an die evtl.
unterschiedlich geformte Steckdose zu ermöglichen.
