4. Parameterization of memory locations

All memory locations providing a line number in the parameterization plan are configurable. Exceptions: separat-
ing lines (marked by dashes) and static lines 1. 5 and 6 .
Protocol: <STX> address line P [VZ] data <ETX> [<CR>] can be applied to each line. The counter’s response
after each programming operation is identical to the response provided upon line readout request.
Parameterization of all memory locations is enabled both in RUN and PGM mode.

Parameterization in RUN mode:
Data in lines 22,23,25-29,31,41/1,44,51-54 and 56 are only adopted after having switched from PGM mode
to RUN mode.
To proceed switchover to PGM mode please refer to chapter 5.2. All other lines are immediately
effective after the parameterization operation.

All parameters entered in RUN mode are only saved non-volatile after having switched from PGM to RUN
mode. If there is no switching operation from PGM to RUN, the previously effective data will be restored
after power loss.

Write-command (general):

<STX> address line P [VZ] data <ETX> [<CR>]

4.1 Examples for parameterization of memory locations

The following parameters are applied in the example below:
Device address = 35; mode = R (RUN)

Programming the start count value SC (line=04, start count=360)
Command: <STX>3504P000360<ETX>
Response: <STX>3504R000360<ETX><CR>

Programming the scaling factor SF (line=07, parameter =01,0000)
Command: <STX>3507P01.0000<ETX>
Response: <STX>3507R01.0000<ETX><CR>

Programming the count mode (line=25, count mode=1)
Command: <STX>3525P1<ETX>
Response: <STX>3525R1<ETX><CR>

Programming the device address (line=54, device address=27)
Command: <STX>3554P27<ETX>
Response: <STX>3554R27<ETX><CR>

Delete start count value SC (line=07)
Command: <STX>3507P000000<ETX>
Response: <STX>3507R000000<ETX><CR>
