2. Pressurize the drive according to one of

the following methods:

slow pressurization of one side,

– simultaneous pressurization of

both

sides with subsequent exhausting of
one side.

For slow pressurization during the starting
phase use the safety start-up valve type
HEL-... .

3. Start a test run.

4. During the test run check whether the

settings on the DRQD-... need to be modi-
fied.

These could be:

– rotation range of the moving mass
– rotation speed of the moving mass.

5. Slowly unscrew the one-way flow control

valves until the desired rotation speed is
reached.

The piston should reach the end position
but not strike hard against it. If the piston
knocks too hard against the end posiition,
it may bounce back out of the end posi-
tion.

If the piston makes a hard knocking sound:

6. Interrupt the test run.

The cause of the hard knocking could be:

– the mass moment of inertia of the moving mass is too high
– the rotation speed of the moving mass is too high
– there is no compressed air cushion on the exhaust side.

7. Make sure that the causes of the knocking are remedied.

8. Repeat the test run.

When all necessary modifications have been made:
