•Installation
Caution: In order to meet product safety requirements, these units must
only be installed, by qualified staff, in accordance with the information
given in this manual, using the terminal blocks supplied, and all
relevant national electrical wiring and safety rules must be followed.
The STG is used to power a strain gauge bridge and convert the signal
produced into a standard analogue signal format.
Note: The STG is a measurement CAT I device, so it must only used for
strain gauges that are electrically isolated from mains voltages.

Locate the instrument in an area that is free from dust, moisture and
corrosive gases (pollution degree II or better).

Check the power supply against the model number before applying
power to the instrument. The unit must be used with a suitable mains

Earth connections attach to a stud on the underside of the case. You
must attach this connection before applying power to the unit.
