1. Connect up the instrument according to the table above.
. Set the input source to 0.00 mV.
. Adjust the TARE to give 0.00 mV across the test points (multimeter
two). Do not over-adjust.
4. Turn the ZERO adjustment until the output is at ‘zero’.
. Set the input source to ‘full scale’.
6. Adjust the SpAN control until the output is at ‘full scale’.
7. Recheck the ZERO adjustment.
Bridgeexcitationbenchadjustment
To set the excitation voltage for remote sensing mode:
1. Connect up the instrument as above.
. Connect a DVM across the test points marked Ex+ and Ex–.
. Adjust the EX control until the voltage is correct.
•Modifications
Removingthelefthandsideplate
1. Remove the six self tapping screws
marked A-F.
. Remove the two countersunk bolts
marked G & H.
. Remove the left hand side plate and
note the position of the insulator
covering the power supply board.
4. You can now ease the power supply board from the housing.
Warning: take great care when operating AC powered instruments
without the housing as there are high voltages present.
Note: bolt the power supply board and insulator to the side plate
before reassembly.
