The 56H[WHQGHU consists of a transmitter unit (56([WHQGHU&38)
and a receiver unit (56([WHQGHU&RQ .
The 56H[WHQGHU is used for the transparent transmission of RS232
signals via Cat-X cables (x =5,6,7). The connection is equivalent to a 1:1
extension cable Sub-D9 jack to Sub-D9 plug.
The 56H[WHQGHU&38 is connected to the computer, and the 56
H[WHQGHU&RQ is connected to an RS232 device (e.g. modem or similar).
Application fields are situations in which devices are positioned more than the
approx. 9m from the relevant computer normally permitted for RS232
connections.

Only regulated 5V power supplies should be used. The positive voltage is on
the centre contact of the hollow plug.
When using greater or unregulated voltages, there is a risk of the device being
destroyed.
