After plugging in the power supply, the top, yellow "Power" LED should come
on.

If the transmitter and receiver are connected using CAT-x cable, the relevant
bottom, green "Link" LED will come on.
This LED goes off when the connection is faulty, or flickers or becomes dimmer
in the event of transmission errors where applicable.
These notes apply both for the RS232 extender CPU and for the RS232
extender CON.
