Thunderstorm
High voltage and AC operations, or operations on a steel tower and a mast on a thunderstorm day are
prohibited.
On a thunderstorm day,the electromagnetic field generated in the thunderstorm area may cause
damage to electronic parts. In order to prevent the equipment from being damaged by lightning, proper
grounding is required.
Electrostatic
The electrostatic (static electricity) generated by human body may damage the electrostatic-sensitive
components on the circuit board, such as large-scale integrated circuit (LIC).
In the case of human body moving, clothes friction, friction between shoes and ground, holding ordinary
plastic in hand, the human body will generate a static electromagnetic field that will remain with the
human body for a long time.
Before touching the equipment, hand-holding, circuit boards, or ASICs, a grounded electrostatic
discharge (ESD) wrist strap should be worn to prevent the sensitive components from being damage by
the electrostatic in human body.
