Under no circumstances should you take individual parts of the product apart. Improper
repairs may place the user in considerable danger. Repairs should only be carried out by
specialist personnel.

Safety instructions for rechargeable batteries

FIRE HAZARD! Do not allow rechargeable batteries to

short-circuit. Otherwise the rechargeable batteries may overheat, become a
fire hazard or explode.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never throw rechargeable

batteries into fire or water.

Before use

Charging the battery with the adapter

You can use an adapter to recharge the battery (not included in delivery). Make sure that
the mains voltage corresponds to the operating voltage of the device (230 V∼).

Never touch the adapter mains plug with damp or wet hands.

Switch off the lantern during the charging process.

Insert the adapter plug into the connection socket of the lantern.

Insert the adapter into a socket.
Note: During the charging process do not turn the crank handle

Note: The product is fitted with an overcharge protection circuit. In spite of this, you should
disconnect the lantern from the power supply after the charging process is complete.

During the charging process, the charging indicator

illuminates red. When the charging

process is complete, the charging indicator illuminates green. When the charging indicator
is green, pull the adapter out of the socket. Also disconnect it from the lantern so that the
rechargeable batteries do not discharge.

Charging the battery with the crank handle

Note: Avoid prolonged deep discharge of the rechargeable batteries. Failure to observe this
advice could result in damage to the rechargeable batteries. Charge the batteries at regular
intervals or when the LED only gives out a weak light. Charge the batteries after every use.
