Commissioning
Field of application The reference electrode R 503/P or R 503/D is used to
create a reference potential when measuring ion
concentrations. Together with a WTW ion sensitive
electrode of the type 500 it forms a double rod combination
electrode.
Filling in the bridge
electrolyte
1 Unscrew the white screw cap from the bridge
electrolyte bottle.
2 Pull off the seal.
3 Screw the white screw cap on the bottle again.
4 Position the spout of the white screw cap upward.
5 While holding the electrode in an upright position
push the closing ring (4) downward using your
fingers until the filling opening is uncovered (5).
6 Fill the bridge electrolyte through the filling opening
(5) using the spout.
7 Shortly press the shaft of the electrode (7) upward
against the connection head in order to wet the
ground junction (8) with bridge electrolyte.
8 When doing so refill spilled bridge electrolyte.
9 Close the bottle with bridge electrolyte solution:
Position the spout of the white screw cap downward.
