AT-PWR5 Optional Redundant Power Supply
The AT-PWR5 Optional Redundant Power Supply can be installed in the
Ethernet AT-MCF6xx, AT-MCF12xx, AT-MCF106xx, and AT-MCF112xx
Multichannel Media Converters. For information on the features, uses and
installation of the Multichannel Media Converters, refer to the appropriate
installation guides listed on page vii.
Optional Redundant Power Supply Slot
The rear panel of the multichannel media converter contains an expansion
slot for an optional AT-PWR5 redundant power supply. When installed, the
optional power supply shares the load of powering the unit with the standard
power supply that comes with the system. If one power supply fails, the
remaining unit assumes the role of providing all power to the system, thereby
protecting the unit from a system failure.
Figure 1 show the rear of a media converter and the AT-PWR5 optional
redundant power supply.
Figure 1 Rear View of Media Converter and AT-PWR5
An LED on the front panel of the media converter reflects the status of the
optional redundant power supply, if installed. When the redundant power
supply is operating properly, its LED is a steady green.
