Power cord is used as a disconnection device: To de-energize
equipment, disconnect the power cord.

Caution
When connecting a power cord, you should always plug the power
cord into the multichannel media converter first. Only after it has
been securely installed should you plug the power cord into a power
source.
4. Plug the power cord into the back of the unit and plug the other end of the
power cord into a power outlet.
If you installed an optional AT-PWR5 unit, you should connect the media
converter’s two power cords to power outlets that are on different circuits.
This will protect the media converter from a loss of power should a power
circuit fail.
5. If you replaced a single power supply and powered the media converter off,
you must press the Reset button on the front of the media converter.
To reset the media converter, press the Reset button on the front of the
unit for about 1 second. The LEDs on the converter will flash once, after
which the unit is ready for normal network operations.
6. Go to “Verifying the Installation” on page 7 and follow the instructions.
