3.3.5 Producing 560 – 1000 mm arc segments

Undo the three bolts at the foot of the chuck, turn the workpiece by the number of degrees
required and then retighten the bolts.

Cut the pipe to the required mitre and then clamp it in the chuck.

You must ensure that the pipe is centred on the milling disc when milling the end of the

pipe. Adjustment options are provided by the ability to slide the chuck along the guide in the
table.

Use the elbow-pipe in accordance with the pressure table (15°, 30°, etc.).

The angle refers to the entire elbow of the specific segment that has to be welded, i.e. each

chuck segment will be welded up to half of the angle.

Otherwise you just proceed in the same way as for straight welding.

3.3.6 Producing

450 - 800 mm T-pieces with 90° outlets

Remove the chuck’s hexagonal bolts (6x M20) and then pull the chuck upwards and remove
it. Unscrew the centering bolts fitted in the table plate

Fit the T-piece chuck.

Place the cross slide with the two pointed pipe holders on

the table on the right and the slide with the angled pipe
holder on the table on the left. Fit the reduction clamping
insert that matches the relevant pipe diameter whenever it
is needed.

Tubes to 45 ° miter saws and tension in the tensioning
device (fig. A).

In milling, make sure that the pipe ends meet in the
middle of the cutter discs.

Use the T-piece pressure table. Otherwise you just
proceed in the same way as for segment welding.

Unclamp the welded angled pipe and then cut off the tip
just in front of the centre of the pipe (so that sufficient
material remains so that the milling unit can bring it up to
the other pipe).

Use the pointed chucks to clamp the cut angled pipes at
rightangles. Clamp the third pipe, which has been cut at
an angle of 45°, in the left chuck (fig B).

Slide the piece of pipe along in the chuck to align it and
then mill it so that it matches the other. Weld the two
pieces of pipe together in accordance with the T-piece
pressure table (fig C).

Note! Do not over-mill the pipe cut at an angle (right
side)! Use single-side milling if necessary!

3.3.7 Producing

450 - 800 mm Y-pieces with 90° outlets (Fig. B)

Remove the chuck’s hexagonal bolts (6x M20) and then pull the chuck upwards and remove

it. Unscrew the centering bolts fitted in the table plate.
