Transport, storage
Please observe the notes on transport, storage and appropriate handling.
Observe the climatic conditions in accordance with EN 60721.
Installation
The controllers must be installed and cooled according to the instructions given
in the corresponding documentation.
Ensure proper handling and avoid mechanical stress. Do not bend any
components and do not change any insulation distances during transport or
handling. Do not touch any electronic components and contacts.
Controllers contain electrostatically sensitive components, which can easily be
damaged by inappropriate handling. Do not damage or destroy any electrical
components, since this might endanger your health!
Electrical connection
When working on live controllers, the valid national regulations for the
prevention of accidents (e. g. VBG 4) must be observed.
The electrical installation must be carried out according to the appropriate
regulations (e. g. cable cross-sections, fuses, PE connection). Additional
information can be obtained from the documentation.
The documentation contains notes for the installation according to EMC
(shielding, earthing and installation of cables). Also observe these notes with
regard to CE-labelled drive controllers. The manufacturer of the system or the
machine is responsible for the compliance with the limit values required in
connection with EMC legislation. In order to observe the limit values for emitted
radio interference which are effective at the installation location, you have to
mount the controllers into housings (e. g. control cabinets). The housings have
to enable an EMC-compliant installation. Observe in particular that, for
instance, the doors of control cabinets are metallically connected to the housing
in a circumferential manner. Reduce openings or apertures by the housing to a
minimum.
