InputSetup
Before selecting an input to set up, select the number of samples to
take when measuring each input and the units used (°C or °F).
There is one input sub-menu for each input. For every channel you can
select RTD Type, and Digital Filtering. The range is set according to
the RTD type selected except Pt100 which has two ranges (see table
below). If you are not using an input, you should disable it.
RTDType
Rangesin°C
Pt-100
-220 °C to 220 °C
-220 °C to 850 °C
Ni-120
-80 °C to 320 °C only
Cu-10 @ 0 °C
-60 °C to 260 °C only
Cu-25 @ 25 °C
-60 °C to 260 °C only
CalculatedVariables
Each alarm and analogue output can operate on any of the measured
variables. Alternatively, the unit can calculate values for monitoring or
setting the analogue output level. Options are maximum, minimum or
average of any of the four measured temperatures or the difference
between any two.
OutputSetup
There is one output sub-menu for each analogue output. For each
channel you select the output type and range, select an input
temperature range or set up a calculated value for the output. Then
you select the current/voltage range for the output signal.
AlarmSetup
Before the individual sub-menus for each alarm the RI4 asks you to
secure the setpoints and set up the alarm reset mode (automatic or
manual). Secure setpoints cannot be adjusted in run mode. Manual
reset alarms must be accepted by an operator before they will reset.
