1. Getting to know your instrument
The ME80 mobile ECG device calculates your heart rhythm and is ideal for use at home or
when you are on the move. The device provides information about your average pulse value
as well as any divergence from a normal ECG. For precise evaluation and detailed repre-
sentation of the recorded measurement data, the device can be connected to the PC using
the integrated USB plug. The Beurer ECG Manager software included in delivery allows the
recorded results to be presented graphically and printed for your doctor. Additionally, the
USB plug enables the installed battery to be charged automatically.
2. Important notes
General notes
• The ME80 device is a single-channel electrocardiogram (ECG) device that you can use
to rapidly record an electrocardiogram (ECG) when you are on the move. In addition, the
device provides a clear evaluation of the recording, particularly as regards any disruption
of the heart rhythm.
• The ME80 device displays changes in the heart rhythm, which may have various different
causes. These may be harmless, but may also be triggered by illnesses or diseases of dif-
fering degrees of severity. Please consult a medical specialist if you believe you may have
an illness or disease.
• Electrocardiograms recorded using the ME80 show the heart‘s function at the time of the
measurement. As such, any changes occurring before or after the measurement is taken
may not necessarily be detected.
