Notes on batteries
• Swallowing batteries can be extremely dangerous. Keep the batteries and products out
of the reach of small children. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical attention
immediately.
• Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into an open fire or short circuited.
Instructions for repairs and disposal
• Do not repair or adjust the device yourself. Proper operation can no longer be guaranteed
in this case.
• Repairs must only be carried out by Customer Services or authorised suppliers.
• Do not open the device, except during disposal. In this case, remove the installed battery.
Failure to comply will invalidate the warranty.
• Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Used batteries should not be
disposed of in normal household waste. Dispose of them via your electronics retailer or
your local recycling point. You are legally obligated to do so.
The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb: Battery contains lead, Cd: Battery contains cadmium, Hg: Battery
contains mercury.
• P lease dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Elec-
trical and Electronic Equipment).

3. unit description
3.1 Main functions
• The device requires approx. 30 seconds to take the cardiogram measurement.
• The device automatically runs an analysis based on the measurement data and delivers
the corresponding results.
• With the battery fully charged, the device can take in excess of 1,000 measurements. The
ME80 allows a maximum of 99 measurement data records to be stored on the device itself.
Saving any further measurement data records will overwrite old records.
