Ambient Conditions
Ambient temperature
-25 ... +65 °C
Due to the use of high-grade materials and coatings
it is possible to use the valve outdoors and in chemical
atmospheres.
Confi guration
The 6521 valve is comprised of a terminal housing with
an integrated piezo valve as well as a pneumatic amplifi er
(piston valve principle, no overlap).
Type 6521 is specially designed for operation with a PROFIBUS
®
PA valve connection.
The piston valve is metallically sealed. This prevents common
material problems with elastomer-sealed piston valves such as
malfunctions due to swelling or brittle seals.
Operation in potentially explosive areas
The devices may only be operated using suitable, intrinsically safe
operating equipment, e.g. with the PROFIBUS
®
PA valve control box type 8642.
The safety-relevant maximum values should be determined using
the Declaration of Conformity PTB 01 ATEX 2194 X.
Installation position: random;
Magnet system mounted in the upper
position prevents deposits settling in
the core chamber and increases the
service
life
Before installation, clean the connecting fl ange and pipework
of any soiling
To protect against malfunctions use a dirt trap if necessary
Make certain that the performance data for the device
corresponds to the operating conditions!
Observe the pin assignment for pressure and exhaust air,
