4 Functions and operation
Fault output
The “Fault output” function can only be activated through the setup
program. If the “Fault output” function is active, then the following
faults will be monitored:
- Probe break
- Probe short-ciruit (only for resistance thermometers)
- Overrange
- Underrange
- Internal error (e.g. Pt100 cold junction defect ...)
If one of these events occurs, the open-collector output 1 and the
blinking indication for overrange will be activated.

Frequency output
The “Frequency output” function can only be activated through the
setup program. If the “Frequency output” function is active, then the
output signal will also be available as a frequency signal on open-
collector output 2. The frequencies for the start and end of the ran-
ge can be configured through the setup program.
