• After the impact use adhesive
tape to remove loose paint
particles from the test surface.
• Measure the width B of the area
chipped off and round up to a
whole number (mm). The width of
the wedge-shaped tool that
penetrated into the basis material
is not to be considered.
6. Measuring the Impact • Determine the separation plane.
If there are several separation
planes estimate the percentage of
the damaged area. In case of
doubt and especially in case of
slight color differences it is
recommended to use a
microscope for a precise
determination of the separation
planes.
