8.1 Detailed documentation
Manuals in PDF format
The CD-ROM “DriveServer” contains more information about the DriveServer.
• If you select the component ”Online Manuals” when you install the DriveServer, manuals in PDF
format ( Portable Document Format) will be installed in the DriveServer subdirectory
“Manuals”.
• For displaying and printing this documentation you need the free obtainable Adobe ® Acrobat ®
Reader which is also on the CD-ROM is required.
Tip!
If you do not want to install the “Online Manuals” on your PC, use the Adobe ® Acrobat ® Reader to open
them directly from the CD-ROM “DriveServer”.
The “Online Manuals” are saved on the CD-ROM “DriveServer” in the subdirectory “Manuals”.
8.1.1 Installation of the Adobe ® Acrobat ® Readers
If the Adobe ® Acrobat ® Reader has not been installed on your PC yet, please proceed as follows:
1. Start Windows.
2. Insert the DriveServer CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
3. Select
Run... from the start menu.
4. Enter the letter for your CD-ROM drive followed by “ :\acrobat\acroreader51_enu.exe”
(e.g. ” e:\acrobat\acroreader51_enu.exe“).
5. Confirm with OK and follow the instructions of the installation program.
