3.5 Preset Manager
The output assignments stored in the Scratchpad can be edited further using the Preset Manager.
The Preset Manager lets you configure presets for the FIRNET controller‘s 100 memory slots so
these controllers can be used even without a connected PC. You can prepare for an event by saving
the necessary output assignments on the FIRNET controller. Later, on location, you can then access
these assignments directly on the device. This option may seem familiar as the same procedure is
used in LIPAN.
Heads up: If, in addition to mapping output assignments, you adjusted user EQ, gain, delay, phase
or routing settings, these changes will be applied to the Scratchpad and copied to the controller
when you click DUMP TO DEVICE. If you want different user settings for the copied presets, you
will have to make your adjustments first and then load the output assignments individually from the
Scratchpad using DUMP TO DEVICE.
Heads up: You can use the Preset Manager to save individual output assignments or entire lists
from the Scratchpad on your PC. These files can later be loaded to the Preset Manager. This
means you can save a backup copy of your output assignments and easily transfer your presets
to another PC that runs FIRSOFT.
Meterbridge
The Meterbridge provides an overview of all devices controlled by FIRSOFT. The device name and IP
address, LEDs indicating the network status, input and output volume levels and the mute status of
all inputs and outputs are shown for each device.
This window may be detached from the main window by clicking the UNDOCK button in the upper
left of the Meterbridge or selecting the UNDOCK METERBRIDGE icon in the toolbar. The detached
Meterbridge is a separate program window under Windows and may be used independently of
FIRSOFT‘s main window. This means you can things like display the Meterbridge on a second
screen or view all key status information on the computer while the settings are hidden in the
minimized main window.
