Uploading a system to the network

If you configure a system offline, you will have to load this configuration manually to the network.
Devices do not automatically adopt it, for example, when you launch the program or open a saved
system file.

SEND SYSTEM CONFIG TO NETWORK: First you will be prompted with a confirmation dialog as
a safety precaution. Then you will be asked for an IP address range in which to search for FIRNET
controllers. Once the configuration is uploaded, all devices in the network with IP addresses
matching those in the system you configured offline will report in to confirm the upload. These
devices are indicated by a green LED. Devices in the network that do not match your previously
configured system are shown in the Network window, where they are indicated by a yellow LED. Any
devices in your virtual configuration that were not found in the real-world network are shown in the
System window, where they are indicated by a black LED.

If you wish, you can now match up unassigned devices (yellow LED) in the network with devices that
you configured but were not found (black LED) in the network by simply dragging & dropping these
devices. After you confirm these assignments, they will be accepted and the system‘s configuration
is adjusted accordingly. This lets you quickly reconcile discrepancies between previously configured
systems and the real-world controller network – for example, when IP addresses or controller
numbers do not match.

Downloading data from a deployed system

RECEIVE CONFIG FROM NETWORK: You may want to remotely control a system that has already
been configured and installed. If so, use this option to download information about the system‘s
status from the controllers to your computer; specifically, group configurations, device addresses
and names, speaker datasets and device settings. Enter an IP address range as you would for the
SCAN NETWORK command. All devices found are displayed in the Network window at the top left.
Their settings are downloaded to FIRSOFT and displayed in the System window and Device View.

All key group functions including input and output gain levels and links to the input EQs can be
controlled collectively, in relative proportions. Muting one input or output channel in a group affects
all devices within it. Channels that have been muted on the device cannot be unmuted in the group
view.
