3.2 The Network window

This window shows networked devices found when you execute the NETWORK SCAN or FIND
SINGLE DEVICE command. Each device reports in by indicating its name and IP address. These two
properties can be edited. To this end, double-click the group or device or right-click the device and
select EDIT when the context menu appears.

Go to Device Info in the Edit window if you want to learn which firmware version is currently installed
on a given device.

The pictured LED‘s color tells you each device‘s network status:

Red means the software cannot communicate with the device because it is not powered up or has
been disconnected from the network.

Yellow means the device is online but not integrated in the system.

Green means the device is online and integrated in the system.

Black indicates a virtual device that is integrated in the system but was not found in the network.

Mark a device to select it. Then you can view and edit all the parameters of this device in the
window „Device & Group view“ on the right.

3.3 The System window

This window shows the system‘s entire configuration; that is, all
connected FIRNET controllers, all group levels and the controllers
contained at each level. This area of the Program window can be edited
online and offline. Systems with virtual devices can be created and
stored offline and then uploaded later to a real-world network.

The window depicts the system‘s configuration much like folders are
shown Windows Explorer. This is a hierarchic group tree that shows
the devices contained in each group. You can expand and collapse
subgroups to get a better view of their contents. The tree behaves
exactly like the folder tree in Windows Explorer. To expand and collapse
any portion of it, click the plus sign (+) or minus sign (-) next to the
given object.

The System window‘s toolbar
