Fitting
• Installation position as desired, preferably with
vertical drive axis. Leave approx. 20cm space
above/to the side of rotary actuator.
• Align the actuator spindles and positioning
element to coincide for engagement ofthe
quadrant (manual operation), and:
–
remove cover.
–
Push manual emergency spindle with
screwdriver until engaged with gear and set to
desired position by turning the drive spindle.
! Do not turn actuator beyond normal positioning
range, since otherwise alignment of the limit
switches with the position of the drive spindle is
no longer guaranteed.
• Position actuator on standard flange and secure
with M6 screws
! Actuator must not run against an external stop
or be blocked.
Electrical installation
The operating voltage and frequency of the power
supply must correspond with the data on the type
plate of the actuator.
For versions with rated voltages of 230 V and110
V the regulations for power current systems must
be observed. The circuit diagram for connecting
the rotary actuator is to be found in the actuator
cover.
! For rotary actuators with alternating current
motor, each rotary actuator must be triggered by
its own switch or relay. With direct parallel
switching of several actuators using a common
switch or relay contact, faulty currents arise which
can lead to the destruction of the actuator.
Attention!
- Do not connect both directions of rotation
simultaneously.
- When changing the directions of rotation, an
interval of 1 sec must be guaranteed.
Fusing is at the mains side, the fuse values depend
on the voltage.
Supply voltage

12 V =

24 V =
4,0 A semi-slow
48 V =

110 V ~
2,0 A semi-slow
230 V ~
1,0 A semi-slow
Setting of the indication circuit
The possible connections for the individual
versions are marked with a •.
Putting into operation
• Remove cover (unscrew 4 screws).
• Set the actuator to an intermediate setting.
• Check short movement orders in both
directions and check the display to see if
the actuator rotates in the desired
direction. (If not, check connections).
• Start individual settings and see the correct
position is reached.
(If not, observe setting instructions).
• Close cover.

NOTE: Ensure the electrical earthing (PE) of the
adaptor and the fitting (applies also to Types 2653
and 2656) through the power installation.
