Setting instructions
Preliminary remarks
The rotary actuators are adjusted at the factory
prior to shipping. The adjustment can be altered
to suit the setting of the rotary actuator and the
positioning element driven
The voltage for the motor is supplied via the
microswitches, according to the direction of
rotation. At the stopping point the cam presses
the respective microswitch thereby switching off
the motor voltage.
2-position actuator
Check the limit positions
• Connect rotary actuator according to circuit
diagram (in cover of actuator) .
• Apply voltage L1 to the motor via S1 and move
to respective limit position. (At end of the motion
S1 is pressed and interrupts the motor current)
• Apply voltage L1 to the motor via S2 and
proceed accordingly.
Setting the limit positions
Setting the tripping cam and display plate with
fork spanner SW11.
• Apply voltage L1 to the motor via S1
and observe direction of rotation of the
tripping cam.
• Switch off motor when the desired limit position
is reached.

switches off.
• Equalization of the optical position indicator by
turning the display plate.
• To set the outer limit position, apply voltage L1
to the motor via S2 and proceed in the same
way.
3-position actuator
Compared to the 2-position actuator, the 3-
position actuator has two additional microswitches
S3 and S4, via which the motor voltage is fed to
reach the intermediate position, and which ends
the rotation process by interrupting the current in
the intermediate position. The tripping cams of
both these microswitches are so adjusted that at
least one of the switches is operated at each
position of the rotary actuator. This prevents
voltage being supplied to both motor windings of
the capacitor motor while adjusting the centre
position by simultaneous closing of the switches,
thereby causing damage to the contacts of the
microswitches by the high currents.
Preliminary measure
• Connect rotary actuator according to the circuit
diagram (in cover of actuator).
Checking and setting the limit positions
• For 3-position actuators not adjusted at the
factory, microswitches S3 and S4 must be
pressed with a tool (screwdriver) while voltage
is applied.
• Pull out the microswitch's Lumberg plug on the
lower conductor plate.
• Setting of limit switches as for the 2-position
regulator.
• Plug in the microswitch's Lumberg plug on the
lower circuit board.
Setting the centre position
• Press microswitches S3 and S4 using a tool.
• Drive to assigned limit position by applying L1
to the motor via S1 .
• Release S4 and apply L1 to motor via S4.
(Rotary actuator runs in direction of centre
position.)
• Switch off motor when desired centre position
is reached.
