1. Safety instructions

When mounting, initiating and operating these transmitters

it is important to observe the respective national safety

precautions and regulations in effect (e.g. VDE 100).

Nonobservance of the applicable regulations may cause

severe injury to persons or damage to equipment. Only staff

with suitable qualification should work with these transmitters.

Before initial operation check the suitability for the intended application.

In particular, it is important to fulfill the ambient and operation conditions

as specified in the WIKA data sheet TE 19.03. Use only configured

transmitters.

This equipment is intended for operation with low voltages,

which are separated from the power supply or voltages of

greater than AC 50 V or DC 120 V. Preferably, a connection to

an SELV circuit is recommended, or alternatively to circuits

with a different protective measure in accordance with

IEC 60364-4-41.

Alternatively for North America:

The connection can be made in line with “Class 2 Circuits”

or “Class 2 Power Units” in accordance with CEC (Canadian

Electrical Code) or NEC (National Electrical Code).
