7. Maintenance, cleaning and service (recalibration)

7.1 Maintenance

This hand-held temperature calibrator model CEP3000 is maintenance-free.

Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer. This does not apply to the battery

replacement.

Replacing the batteries

Replace the batteries as soon as the battery indicator turns on to avoid false measure-

ments. If the batteries are discharged too deeply, the model CEP3000 will automatically

shut down to avoid battery leakage.

Only AA size alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries, from the

optional model CEP3000 accessories, should be used.

7.2 Cleaning

CAUTION!

Prior to cleaning the model CEP3000, switch off and, if necessary,

disconnect the instrument from the mains.

Clean the instrument with a moist cloth.

Electrical connections must not come into contact with moisture.

Residual media on the model CEP3000 can result in a risk to

persons, the environment and equipment.

Take sufficient precautionary measures.

For information on returning the instrument see chapter 9.1 "Return".

7.3 Recalibration
DKD/DAkkS certificate - Certificates:

We recommend that the instrument is regularly recalibrated by the manufacturer, with

time intervals of approx. 12 months. Every factory recalibration includes, additionally, an

extensive free-of-charge check of all system parameters with respect to their compli-

ance with the specification. The basic settings will be corrected if necessary.
