•DigitaltoAnalogue(“dA”)configuration

General

The AMS400A accepts digital, increment and decrement signals from

the controlling device. In automatic mode, the analogue output (to the
control device) changes in response to pulses on these two lines. In
manual mode, the operator adjusts the output using the front panel
keypad and the automatic “signals” are ignored.

Display

The display provides feedback using an analogue signal from the

control element or from a suitable measuring device. For example, if
you are controlling a valve, you will probably want to display the flow
rate.

You can also display the output signal level (in percent) by pressing the

AUTO or MAN key.

StatusOutputs

There is a digital ‘status’ output to the controlling device to signal the

operating mode of the AMS400A, i.e., automatic or manual.
