stall the devices in all remaining rooms
as well as in stairwells (Fig. 4). This de-
vice is also suitable for use in kitchens,
the number one source of fires!

In washrooms (bathroom, toilet etc.),
a smoke alarm device is usually not re-
quired due to the low fire hazard.

In case of fire, this device quickly rec-
ognizes smoke from fire and the in-
creasing temperature in the room.
The loud alarm signal serves to warn
you as quickly as possible. If you have
determined there is no emergency
requiring escape, this signal can be
temporarily deactivated for about 10 min
or suppressed even before the alarm goes
off by gently pressing the test/stop button
(Fig. 1d). It is then recommended to ven-
tilate the rooms well, which also prevents
the alarm from being set off again.

Please first remove the safety lock from
the activation button (Fig. 1a) and make
sure that it does not end up inside the
device. Then press the device‘s activa-
tion button (Fig. 1a). Once the button
has been pressed in, it must be flush
with the device housing. To confirm that
the smoke alarm device has now been
activated, a short test signal is emitted.
This confirmation signal can be repeat-
ed by pressing the test/stop button (Fig.
1d) and serves as an indication that the
device is ready for operation.
