2.2.5. Address set adjustment J1, J2

By using these jumpers, the address sets on the card can be adjusted. For the Lenze Digitec address
set, both jumpers are open. Additional address sets (e. g. for a special control system) must be agreed
with Lenze Digitec Controls GmbH if required.

2.2.6. DIP switch SW1

The DIP switch SW1 makes it possible to number individual cards in sequence if several PCM310
cards are being used in a computer. Up to 4 cards can be used in a PC. The following table illustrates
the allocation of card numbers to the DIP switch settings.

2.2.7. Battery BAT (option)

The PCM-310 component group can be equipped with a lithium battery (button cell CR1220). This
performs the following function:

buffering the CMOS memory after mains switch-off.

The battery is always required if it is desired to retain user data in the CMOS memory and no
Shuttlebox is attached.

Battery replacement
The battery is located in a battery holder on the PCM-310 component group. The battery can be
removed FOR replacement by simply pulling it out. Replacement batteries can be ordered from Lenze
Digitec Controls GmbH.

To pull out the battery, metal tools such as metal pliers should not be used. If
metal tools are used, the battery will be short-circuited. This may give rise to
the danger of

extreme overheating of the battery or even an explosion!

Empty lithium batteries are hazardous waste and must be disposed of in an
appropriate manner.
