2.3.3. External power supply

The pin allocation of the external power supply is shown on the diagram of the PCMatic

®

-Shuttlebox.

2.3.4. Fieldbus status

There are 4 LEDs on the Shuttlebox for the Fieldbus. The displays signify the following:

Ready

(yellow)

Run

(green)

Status

(yellow)

Error

(red)

2.3.5. Programming interface

A 9-pole SUB-D connector is provided as a programming interface. It is possible to access the
PCMatic

®

via a serial RS-232 connection. For this purpose, a COM port of the computer must be

connected with the programming interface via an in series nil modem cable (see Chapter 6.). For
programming in Step-5, it is possible to use a Soft-PLC (e. g. PG-95 from Process-Informatik or S5 for
Windows from IBHsoftec). For programming in CoDeSys, the programming system is included in the
delivery package. A comprehensive description of the PLC functions is given in Chapter 2 (Real Time
PLC).

2.3.6. Diagnostic interface

The diagnostic interface makes it possible to address the Fieldbus module. Even if the PLC program is
currently running, it is for example possible to carry out a Fieldbus diagnosis by means of PCMCon.
When doing this, it is necessary for safety reasons to attach a cable with the following pin allocation
(additional bridges) to the Shuttlebox. The serial interfaces of the PC are then set as the means of
communication within the configurator PCMCon.
